PowerCreator Media Cast is a system with the functions of multimedia data (video, audio, VGA, text, images, etc.) real-time switching, recording and broadcasting. It plays the roles of sound mixer, switcher, caption machine and other traditional equipments. PowerCreator Media Cast is applicable to the occasions like the on-site recording and broadcasting of class teaching and network television, and it has always been the first choice for the multimedia information construction by users from sectors such as education, broadcasting and television, government, and business circles.

As a software, Media Cast can work just on one high-performance PC to achieve many functions such as professional video switching, audio mixing, subtitle adding, and video outputting so that the extra cost of equipments like special effects units, sound mixers, caption machine, and hard disk recorders can be saved.

 Media Cast supports a variety of signals input, such as analog PAL, NTSC video, 1394digital video, HDMI high-definition digital video and VGA. Differing from the traditional switcher, Media Cast can also switch among screen-capture software data, Internet streaming media data, computer video files and video encoder IP data. The system can input six signal sources at most, each of which can be set by users.

 Video switching provides more than 20 special effects and allows the addition of subtitles and TV station logos.

 Media Cast supports a variety of video output, such as WMV files, videos for on-line live broadcasting through Windows Media Server, and videos for a third processing equipment through VGA or HDMI.

 Users can define the quality of output images. The screen size can be up to 1920x1080 and as small as 160x120, and the maximum bandwidth is up to 20Mbps while the minimum bandwidth is 28.8Kbps.

Media Cast outruns the traditional switcher for its greater expansibility. The input and output interfaces of traditional switcher have been designed in the factory without any space for later expansion or upgrading, while Media Cast users can set their own interfaces and keep up with the development of hardware, without worrying about hardware elimination and extra cost. For instance, users only need to buy two high-definition video capture cards to upgrade Media Cast to high-definition video broadcasting system.

Traditional video switchers can only do manual switching, while Media Cast allows automatic switching through predefined broadcasting rules and then the system can be left unattended for a whole week.

Media Cast provides P/T/Z Control (Pan/Tilt/Zoom Control) for users. To minimize the workload for the users, PowerCreator develops a Mouse Click Tracking function which enables automatic adjustment of camera and PTZ to give close-up shots by simply clicking on the character of the image.

Media Cast offers three plans for sound processing of different channels:
Plan A is Main Mixing: the sound can be broadcast only when the channel is in a broadcast state;
Plan B is Balanced Mixing when the sound of each channel will be broadcast in the same proportion;
Plan C is Main-and-sub-mixing, regulating that the volume of the broadcasting channel must be a little louder than other channels with a proportion of 20:1:1:1:1.
Users can choose the sound processing plans according to their actual needs.
